The Fisherman and His Wife

Image
Once there lived a fisherman with his wife in a humble pigsty near the sea. Each day, he would go fishing, and one day, while sitting on the shore, he caught a remarkable fish that spoke to him. The fish pleaded to be released, claiming to be an enchanted prince. The fisherman, taken aback by the talking fish, decided to let it go, unwilling to deal with such extraordinary requests. When he returned home and told his wife about the talking fish, she was intrigued. She urged him to go back and ask the fish for a cozy cottage instead of their pigsty. Reluctantly, the fisherman went back to the sea and called out to the fish. To his surprise, the sea turned yellow and green, and the fish granted his wife's wish—they found themselves in a charming cottage with a garden, ducks, and chickens. Initially content, Ilsabill soon grew dissatisfied with the small cottage. She demanded a grand stone castle. Despite the fisherman's reservations, he returned to the sea where the waters ha...

A Story of the Christ-Child

Image
Once upon a time, many years ago on Christmas Eve, a small child wandered alone through the bustling streets of a large city. It was a night filled with the hustle and bustle of families carrying bundles of gifts, eagerly preparing for the joyous Christmas morning ahead. Carriages, wagons, and even simple carts hurried past, all caught up in the anticipation of the season. The child, barefoot and shivering in ragged clothes, walked unnoticed amidst the crowd. Approaching a magnificent house adorned with a tall, beautifully lit Christmas tree, the child climbed the steps hopefully and softly knocked on the door. A large, kind-hearted servant answered, but with regret in his voice, he turned the child away, explaining that there was no room for someone so destitute...

Little Chick is Jealous

Once upon a time, there lived a young boy named Mick, whose wide eyes mirrored the world around him. Mick adored creatures of all kinds—dogs, cats, chickens, and even snails. He had a special knack for helping them achieve remarkable feats, like the time his snail won a race! Anyone looking into Mick's dreamy eyes could see that he was a true visionary. Once, Mick had a dream about a vibrant red chicken coop unlike any he had seen before. In his dream, golden straw covered the ground, and the sunlight painted Father Rooster's feathers in dazzling hues of brown, blue, green, and red. Nestled on the straw beside Father Rooster was a tiny egg. As Mick watched in wonder, the dream unfolded before him: inside the egg, a determined little chick was diligently pecking to break free from its shell. It was a challenging struggle, and the chick emerged exhausted and bleeding from scratches on its head. Mick worried about the little chick, far from the comfort of Mother Hen's protec...
